Me & the Urban Legend are having at it onstage at the Wallingford Beer & Blues Festival 2009. Paul Jobson was on Keys & Sam Kelly on drums. What a lovely festival it was. Superb photo by Wendy Auld.

Young, handsome and talented.. James Vargas kickin the proverbial Wang-Dang-Doodle @ The Famous Monday Blues @ Jongleur's Oxford, 2001. James Vargas truly  is
The Sultan of the Sax!

A fantstic gig @ the Famous Monday Blues with Ms Chaka Khan, Sam Kelly and Silvio (with  Paul Jobson and Winston Delgado) just out of frame :-(  circa: 2004
I first met Chaka whilst openning a series of shows for her in Florida, 1977 or so.

Venice Beach, Calif, 1984. The Kushite Raiders were uprising and ascending.
This band was truly amzing! They played Root Rock music in a rub a dub style! The players were (L-R) Papa E, Antoine Richardson, Kwame Marc Cox, Cimaroon, Frizz Martin, Wadada Khufu, and me, FireBurn.

Drummer par excellence Wally Ingram and I lived next door to one another in Venice Beach in the early 80s where we worked together on a few musical projects. He ran off to tour and record with Tracey Chapman then Sheryl Crow then David Lindley among others. Photo by Jo Maddox 2008, Hyde Park. On this bill were John Mayer, Sheryl Crow and Eric Clapton

When speaking of exemplary players, There are the best and then there are the rest.  Paul Jobson is the best of the best.

Grammy Award Nominee Alex DeGrassi and his lovely wife at my old Pub, The Flowing Well, Sunningwell, Oxford.. I dunno.. in the past.. 2005 or so.

What a nice man and amazing musician. T'was lovely jamming with him.

NYC decided to (amidst much protest from myself) honour me with this giant mural in 2010 as part of 3DLB Music Week. The parade was really groovy  :-)

I like to 'Kick the Wang Dang Doodle' with the fantastic Mr Hamilton Loomis at Charlotte St. Blues

in London, UK, March 2010

On stage with the lovely and talented Ms Joss Stone. Paul Jobson on keys, Spy on bass, Jonathan Joseph on drums with Leigh Coleman on additional vocals. This was the last gig @ the old Mama Stone's in Wellington, Somerset, UK, 2009

Yes. That's my good friend Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead fame on harp @ the last gig in the Flowing Well in Sunningwell, Oxford. Sept, 2007

Myron Dove and Dennis Chambers of the SANTANA Band!

Wow! What amazing players they are! Myron and I used to do a project called Jive Hounds with Jimmy DeGrasso of Megadeth fame on drums in Santa Cruz, Calif. 1994. This photo was taken in 2003 @ Crystal Palace, London, UK

Meet Slim Hamster, He's one Hell of a nice guy and just one of the finest guitarists I've ever met. This was @ a 3 day Boogaloo Blues Weekend on the Isle of Wight in Rocktober, 2008. I'm laughing 'cause Slim is tickling me... again!

Check it out! I get to play with the fantastic T.J. Johnson! He is a great guitarist but his legs are way too long. In this photo he's standing 50 feet away from me at the far end of the stage!

I was having a lovely Sunday lunch with my good friends, Mr Tumi Ngakane and also Mr Ben Miller at the Globe Inn, Appley (TA21 0HJ). Great food, great drink, nice people and good times. The laughter never stopped. That Ben Miller IS a very funny guy. He says that Sunday lunch @ The Globe in Appley is one of his five favourite things!

Shame about the Landlord. Sept. 09.

The best band in the world.. Ever. 3DLB @ the old Mama Stone's in Wellington, Somerset. Summer, 08.
